In the final stretch of the 2023 WSOP, Mateus “zinhao” Carrión ventured into Event #88 ($1,500 The Closer) and narrowly missed the bracelet for the Metagame co-founder.
Recalling the old days of MTT, Zinhao had good moments in the final stretch and came to be among the leaders, but in two hands against the Chinese Jixue Yin, the player ended up losing the entire stack.
In the field with 3,531 entries, Zinhao finished the race in 13th place and pocketed $37,437.
Rodrigo Motoki and Arthur Campos also represented Metagame at the WSOP and are among the Brazilians who arrived the most in the Main Event. Motoki reached the 6th and fell into 148th place, pocketing $67,700. Arthur came home with $44,700 when he fell on the 5th in 304th place.
