The story of Junior “Junioreangel” Dantas at BrPC is proof that the support we offer our players goes far beyond the financial. Junior joined BrPC Micro in the first team selection in September 2021 and early on stood out as a player focused on studies and committed to the evolution of his performance. However, sometime later he had to have surgery and move away from the tables, that’s how he almost left the BrPC.
“After the surgery I started to face another personal problem that completely took away the desire to do anything in my life, including playing poker. As I could not devote myself to the game, I thought it would be better to abandon the dream of evolving and becoming a professional. I contacted Taiz and asked her to calculate the amount I would have to bear with the breach of contract.”, junior said.
The player also went to talk to Max Lacerda, CEO of the Micro team, to talk about the termination of the contract and it was at that time that things began to change. “I was very sad about the decision I had made because I didn’t want to leave the team, I just couldn’t stay at that moment. So, I told Max everything that was going on in my life and he surprised me by saying he was going to hold my contract until I solved all my problems. It took a weight off my back,” he said.
After this period away, Junior returned to BrPC Micro in July and, as at the beginning of his contract in 2021, proved to be a consistent and dedicated player. That’s why, after this troubled period, in just two months he managed to make moves up to the main team.
“When I came back, I put my best in! I was very happy and determined to do my best. When Max told me he was thinking of making my move up to the first team, I couldn’t believe it! It was a very big victory and a happiness without size!” said the player who also said that this was always his goal.
Junior Dantas met the BrPC through a friend and understood that the structure of the team was what was necessary for him to become professional. So, he bought a course from CardRoom to get up the boundaries and apply to the first team. In this period the BrPC Micro was launched, and he decided to apply.
Currently he still can’t live exclusively from Poker, but as his results are improving every month and moving him up to the main team, he believes it’s only a matter of time before this moment arrives. After all your plans are to climb up to the highstakes and be a better player every day.
